Bob Greene is senior vice president of advanced services for Starz Encore Group LLC (Starz). Greene reports to Robert B. Clasen, president and chief operating officer, and is responsible for development of new, advanced distribution vehicles, including broadband delivery systems for Starz products, such as STARZ! Ticket on Real Movies. STARZ! Ticket on Real Movies is the first-ever, premium television subscription-based on-demand movie download service. Prior to joining Starz, Greene, 47, served as CEO and chairman of Digital Lava Inc., a Los Angeles-based provider of streaming media software and services used by large US companies for marketing, sales, corporate communications and financial presentations. Digital Lava was sold in 2002 to Interactive Video Technologies. Before joining Digital Lava, Greene was senior vice president of Lightspan Inc., a San Diego-based developer of interactive educational software delivered over cable and telephone networks. He served for 13 years at Showtime Networks Inc., rising to senior vice president of sales and marketing. A native of Tenafly, NJ, Greene graduated from the University of Virginia. He and his wife Michaele have two children, Chelsea and Tia. Starz is the largest provider of premium movie services in the United States with approximately 164 million pay units.
