As president and COO of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Todd Leavitt oversees the day-to-day activities of the Academy and also supervises the ATAS staff, including the executives in charge of all the key departments. As the top ranking staff member, Leavitt reports to Bryce Zabel, ATAS Chairman and CEO; ATAS' Executive Committee and Tom Sarnoff, Chairman of the ATAS Foundation. A veteran network and studio executive, Leavitt most recently was Managing Director of Tulip Media, LTD, a film financing and television packaging boutique with a client list of significant multi-national media companies. Prior to establishing Tulip Media, Leavitt served as Chairman of the Alliance Television Group supervising all television production and distribution on behalf of Alliance Communications Corporation from 1995 to 1998. From 1990 to 1995, Leavitt was Executive Vice President of NBC Studios, the in-house production arm of the NBC Television Network. Prior to joining NBC, Leavitt was Vice Chairman of AFMA (formerly the American Film Marketing Association) and Founder of the organizations Television Committee. Prior to that, Leavitt had been Executive Vice President of Reeves Entertainment Group. Leavitt is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Kenyon College (Gambier, Ohio) and he received a law degree from the New York University School of Law. He currently resides in Santa Monica, California with his wife and three daughters.
