Biography

Bernie Lautrette is a people and culture focused professional with 25 years experience in the animation industry. Currently Artist Manager at Netflix, her extensive career began in production technology at Disney during the making of  Lion King and Pocahontas. Her trajectory then brought her to several studios including Warner Bros, Cinesite and DreamWorks Animation supporting films through production and artist management, talent acquisition and development, diversity and inclusion.

She worked at Warner Bros as digital production manager on the original Space Jam. At DreamWorks Animation she was technology production manager during Prince of Egypt, and eventually global department manager across three studio locations during several films including How to Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda. She has been a career and leadership coach to early career professionals as well as executives.

Her early career experiences of often being the “only” in the room fueled her passion to organically weave diversity, equity and inclusion into her leadership style. She held the first diversity and inclusion position at DreamWorks Animation, was the co-founder of the DreamWorks Animation chapter of the national Comcast/NBCU TECHWomen and is currently on the advisory board of LatinX in Animation.
