Julian Franco is Senior Vice President, AVOD/Ad-Lite Product Management at Warner Bros.
Discovery, responsible for developing ad formats and experiences, advertiser experiences, and
new ad-based products, as well as managing product support for the legacy Discovery
Television Everywhere (ATVE) products. He played an instrumental role in the launch of the ad-
supported tier of HBO Max last year, with a commitment to delivering the most delightful ad-
supported viewing experience for users and the best place for advertisers to reach consumers.
Prior to joining the Warner Bros. Discovery team, Julian worked as Head of AVOD at Vudu,
where he led the ad-supported video on demand initiative and led teams across content
acquisition, programming and strategy, product management, advertising technology,
revenue/monetization/demand partnerships and ad operations. Before this, he served as
Vudu’s director of product management and led product across CTV, Mobile, and desktop
before building and focusing on the ad supported businesses.
Prior to his career in entertainment streaming, Julian led Ubisoft’s trade marketing department
where they were responsible for handling market development funds across all of the
company’s retail partners, including Walmart, Target and Best Buy, among others.
